OPPO says it works by, “leveraging a variety of technologies including energy harvesting, backscatter, and low-power computing, the battery-free OPPO Zero-Power Tag could be powered by ambient energy such as radio waves, light or heat. Tags can be used to identify different items, pinpoint their location or even transmit useful environmental information including temperature.”
