Sony may have just solved a problem for me. The new Sony FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II gives me a lightweight full frame zoom lens with outstanding macro capabilities.
As a technology shooter, macro is something I almost always take into account when sourcing a new lens. The Sony FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II offers half-macro capability 1:2 from 70-200mm but .. it also allows for 1:1 macro when combined with a converter.
The only issue for videographers is the extending barrel. It makes shooting with a rig or gimbal a hassle. But if you’re OK with that, then this is a cracking lens for you.
