LG has given us a grainy look at its new home robot, LG CLOiD. The full reveal will take place at CES 2026 early next month. LG CLOiD is designed to perform indoor household tasks, helping enhance everyday convenience and improve quality of life by making home management more efficient and intuitive.

LG said in a Christmas Day media release, “LG CLOiD embodies the company’s vision of the “Zero Labour Home, Makes Quality Time.”

The robot’s two articulated arms are powered by motors and with seven degrees of freedom, allowing motion similar to natural movements. Five individually actuated fingers on each hand provide dexterity, allowing CLOiD to perform delicate and precise tasks that require fine motor control.

At the core of LG CLOiD is a chipset integrated into the head, functioning as the robot’s “brain.” This is complemented by a display, speaker, camera, and sensors that enable expressive communication, natural voice interaction, and intelligent navigation. Powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence technology, CLOiD is designed to sense its surroundings, interact in a natural and user-friendly way, and refine its responses over time through repeated interactions – aiming to provide more personalised support for everyday tasks.

LG has accelerated its interest in robotics. So CLOiD could be the start of a whole new category for LG globally.
