Ahead of my review of the flagship robot vacuum, the DreameBot L20 Ultra, I thought it was important to background consumers about the company.

Australian Dreame Launch 2023

When Dreame recently held its Robot Australian launch for its latest line-up of the robot vacuum cleaners there was one mechanical marvel that stood out among the products. No one cared that it couldn’t clean because it was a robot dog.

Dogs and robots are always a crowd pleaser but when you combine them .. there’s nothing else that matters in the room.

“More than 50% of the people the business are engineers from world-class universities”

The robot dog may or may not come to Australia anytime soon but what it represents is Dreame’s ‘pedigree’ in robots. Dreame is a Chinese company that gives off Tesla/Space X vibes – the good vibes.

More than 50% of the people the business are engineers from world-class universities. This is a good sign.

Dreame Technology was established in 2015 with a focus on high-end cleaning appliances.

In 2017 Dreame joined the Xiaomi Ecological Chain.

“Innovation will be a key word for us in the next five-year period,” says Founder Yu Hao on the company’s website.

“We will expend more energy and time learning customer insights, which will also help us with our innovation and understanding of consumers’ needs.

“Dreame will remain deeply committed to delivering the most powerful product to create an easier cleaning experience for our global users.”

The R&D department hosts science and tech seminar events every week. Aside from the robot dog we learned about a humanoid robot the company is also working on.

The flagship DreameBot L20 Ultra has some impressive innovations that will make an impact in the market. All these will be covered in my review, due online next week.
