Acer has announced a new lineup of laptops, desktops, and monitors at IFA 2025, catering to both the modern professional and the dedicated gamer. This release includes new additions to the TravelMate, Nitro, and Predator series.
LAPTOPS FOR WORK AND PLAY
The new Acer TravelMate X14 AI is a lightweight, AI-ready business laptop designed for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and mobile professionals. It is a Copilot+ PC powered by Intel® Core Ultra Processors (Series 2) and runs on Windows 11 Pro. The laptop delivers up to 115 TOPS of overall performance and is durable enough to meet MIL-STD 810H standards for durability. Weighing just 1.27 kg and measuring 15.9 mm thin, the TravelMate X14 AI is a highly portable solution. It features a 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA display with an optional OLED panel for vibrant visuals and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for eye comfort. Security features include Acer UserSensing 2.0, which can dim and lock the screen when the user steps away. The TravelMate X14 AI is set to be available in Australia in Q4 2025.

The Predator Helios 18P AI laptop is engineered for both work and gaming, targeting AI developers, content creators, and gamers who need a high-performance, portable device. It is equipped with up to an Intel® Core Ultra 9 Processor 285HX with Intel vPro and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with DLSS 4. The laptop supports up to 192 GB of ECC memory, which corrects data corruption and reduces the risk of system crashes. It also boasts an 18-inch 16:10 Mini LED, 4K WQUXGA (3840×2400) display with 1000 nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. To keep the system cool, it utilises dual 6th Gen AeroBlade metal fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and vector heat pipes.

For gamers on the go, the new Acer Nitro V 16 (ANV16-72) and Nitro V 16S (ANV16S-71) laptops offer powerful performance and cinematic visuals. Both models are powered by up to an Intel Core 9 processor 270H and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. They feature a WQXGA (2560×1600) display with a 180 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour coverage. The Nitro V 16S stands out with its slim metal chassis, measuring less than 19.9 mm thin, for enhanced portability. Both laptops include NitroSense for real-time performance monitoring and fan speed control. The Acer Nitro V 16S will be available in Australia in September, with pricing to be confirmed.


DESKTOPS AND MONITORS FOR IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES
Acer has also refreshed its gaming desktops with the new Predator Orion 7000 (PO7-667) and Predator Orion 5000 (PO5-667). The Orion 7000 is for extreme gamers, featuring up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285K and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. It is equipped with a Predator CycloneX 360 cooling system and a CPU liquid cooler. The Orion 5000 is engineered for serious gamers, with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 265F and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. Both desktops are housed in EMI-compliant tempered glass chassis with customizable ARGB lighting.

For gamers seeking a competitive edge, the Predator X27U F8 monitor sports a 26.5-inch OLED WQHD (2560×1440) display with a refresh rate of up to 720 Hz. Its Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR) allows it to switch between WQHD at 540 Hz and 1280×720 at 720 Hz. The monitor has a 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification for deep blacks and stunning contrast. Additionally, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology helps eliminate screen tearing and stuttering for smooth gameplay.

Acer’s new monitors for a variety of users also include the Vero XL2320p, Vero XL2521, and Vero SL2520n laser projectors, which are mercury-free and designed for long-term, sustainable use. These projectors have a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours and consume 40% less power than traditional lamp-based models. The Vero SL2520n is a short-throw projector that can create a 100-inch image from just 1.1 meters away. All three models offer up to Full HD resolution, 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness, and flexible installation options with 360-degree projection and portrait mode. They are also made with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic in their chassis and come in 100% recyclable packaging.

This year’s IFA announcements from Acer highlight a commitment to integrating AI into every aspect of computing, from professional to personal use. Beyond the new laptops and desktops, the company also unveiled a new lineup of ChromeOS products, including the AI-ready Chromebook Plus Spin 514 and two new Chromeboxes. In the tablet space, Acer refreshed its Iconia series with new models featuring OLED displays and dedicated NPUs, while gamers can look forward to the Predator Aethon 550 TKL mechanical keyboard. With these releases, Acer is making it clear that its vision for the future of tech is not just about raw power, but about creating an ecosystem of devices that are smarter, more versatile, and seamlessly connected.
