The Apple Watch Series 11 will bring the most comprehensive suite of health features to date, an extended battery life, and a more durable cover glass. This new model, described by the company as its thinnest and most comfortable design yet, is now available for pre-order and will hit stores on Friday, September 19.
“Apple Watch is the world’s most popular watch,” said Stan Ng, Apple’s vice president of Apple Watch and Health Product Marketing. “With a powerful new sleep score, plus longer battery life, and more scratch-resistant glass display, all in a thin and comfortable design users love, Apple Watch Series 11 is an indispensable companion.”

The new Apple Watch Series 11 offers up to 24 hours of battery life, making it easier to wear all day and night. It also supports fast charging, with a 15-minute charge providing up to eight hours of use. The aluminium models now feature Ion-X glass with 2x more scratch resistance, thanks to a new ceramic coating. Titanium models will continue to use a sapphire front crystal, which is known for its extreme durability. The cellular antenna has also been redesigned to boost reception in areas with weak coverage.
REDEFINED DURABILITY AND POWER
A major new feature in watchOS 26 is the Sleep Score, which helps users understand the quality of their sleep. This feature analyses factors like duration, bedtime consistency, and time spent in different sleep stages to provide an overall score. The algorithm was developed using over 5 million nights of sleep data from the Apple Heart and Movement Study and is based on guidance from leading sleep organisations.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, the new Workout Buddy provides personalised, spoken motivation during workouts. This feature analyses a user’s workout data and fitness history to deliver tailored encouragement based on metrics like heart rate, pace, and distance. It will be available in English for some of the most popular workout types.
UPGRADED INTERFACE AND USABILITY
The new operating system introduces a range of other enhancements. A new “Liquid Glass” software design provides a vibrant and expressive experience across the interface. A new one-handed wrist flick gesture allows users to easily dismiss notifications, stop a timer, or silence an alarm. Two new watch faces, Flow and Exactograph, are included. The Flow face uses “Liquid Glass” numerals that respond to wrist movement, while the Exactograph is a modern take on a traditional regulator clock. With Apple Intelligence, the Messages app can now automatically translate incoming texts into a user’s preferred language on their wrist, and users can now create and access notes directly on their Apple Watch.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Apple Watch Series 11 comes in a new space grey, as well as jet black, rose gold, and silver in aluminium, and in natural, gold, and slate in polished titanium. The new device starts at RRP AU$679.00 through Apple and the usual retail channels.
