ASUS has launched its new AI PCs in Australia and New Zealand with its pride and joy, the Zenbook A14 at the top of the list. Weighing in at 980g thanks to something called Ceraluminum, an ultra-durable material that’s 30% lighter and three times stronger than anodised aluminium.
For too long laptops have been easily damaged due to their weak construction. The Zenbook A14 resists scratches, shocks, and wear. The material is tested inside a rotating drum with keys and coins mimicking extreme daily wear. Friction is applied 18,000 times in the same place to ensure no colour fade, and the laptop is dropped from a 50cm height to ensure shock resistance and peace of mind.

32-hour battery life is a massive claim but it really sets the user free. Going so long without a power cable plugged in makes this a pretty compelling product thanks to its Snapdragon X Series processor and a high-capacity 70Wh battery. Powered by Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU with 45 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second), this laptop is built for AI.

The screen is a FHD ASUS Lumina OLED display supported by Snapdragon Sound, which delivers immersive audio through two powerful speakers with high-resolution audio for rich, detailed 24-bit / 192kHz sound. The system offers ultra-low latency to ensure the audio syncs seamlessly with visuals and advanced noise cancellation to ensure clear voice calls wherever you connect. An AI IR Camera makes facial recognition effortless, while Adaptive Lock, and Adaptive Dimming, ensure privacy and convenience. The Zenbook A14 includes Windows passkey for additional security.
The A14 features an enlarged touchpad featuring Smart Gesture and smooth, smudge-free keycaps on the well-spaced keys, boasting a 1.3mm travel. The ASUS EasyLift hinge means stable, wobble-free screen opening, something I definitely appreciate.
