When you can’t get to the big game – like Origin 3 – you need to get the next best thing … a massive screen. I’ll be staying in a Newcastle motel on Wednesday night for work but luckily for me and my Queensland mate – I’ll have a the ultra portable M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector from Hisense to help cheer on the Blues.
The motel actually has nice a Hisense TV but it’s too small for a decider like this one. I brought the M2 Pro along because it’s easy to transport but also packed with features, including outstanding 4K picture quality.

“The M2 Pro serves as another proof point in our leadership in the laser category, pioneering more ways to make premium laser technology accessible,” said Chris Kotis, VP of Marketing and Sales at Hisense. “We are excited to continue expanding the laser range with the M2 Pro, which joins our C2 Family of laser mini-projectors in offering Australians more ways to enjoy cinema-grade entertainment at home.”
The M2 Pro is equipped with an advanced AI 4K Clarity system, integrating AI 4K Upscaler, AI Noise Reduction, and AI HDR Upscaler to deliver ultra-sharp images. With 2.07 million micro mirrors powered by a precision DLP system, it projects detailed 4K visuals up to 200 inches, ensuring crystal-clear precision down to every pixel.

This projector is a beast despite its size. PureTriple Colour Laser technology offers colours that pop while the Optical Zoom – with a 1.0–1.3 throw ratio – maintains full 4K sharpness even at varying distances. The end result is a massive projection between 65 and 200 inches.
Powered by the VIDAA Smart operating system, users can stream directly from top platforms including Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, all navigated with a convenient voice remote. The inclusion of Dolby Vision, multiple HDR formats, and AI Dynamic Contrast ensures nuanced detail from shadows to highlights, perfect for both movies and gaming.
The sound is impressive with built-in Dolby Audio & DTS Virtual:X technology eliminating the need for external speakers.

But best of all is the simple setup. I think Hisense has the beaten everyone with its automatic keystone correction and auto focus. The alignment process could not be easier and as I said on Sky News in the video above, you can’t waste time messing around setting up a projector when the big game is about to start.
Go Blues!
