After leading the RGB LED charge last year, Hisense has gone all out at CES 2026 with a full range of sizes using  RGB Mini LED backlight technology. The new lineup will be led by the new 116UXS, its next-generation 116-inch flagship TV featuring RGB Mini LED evo.

Aside from the 116UXS, Hisense also announced the new UR Series, which brings RGB Mini LED to more sizes, refreshed ULED models, and the latest CanvasTV.

“RGB Mini LED is the foundation of Hisense’s home entertainment strategy, setting the benchmark for next-generation display innovation,” said Kevin Ke, Managing Director, Hisense Australia and New Zealand.

“It delivers exceptional quality and value while creating shared entertainment experiences that bring families together. As we expand this technology across more sizes and series, we’re redefining what ultimate entertainment looks like in everyday life.

LEADING RGB MINI LED INNOVATION

RGB Mini LED has a big advantage over previous Mini LED LCD panels by activating only the red, green, and blue LEDs required at any given moment. RGB Mini LED eliminates the need for a colour filter layer, delivering impressive colour brightness and saturation.

This year, Hisense has added RGB Mini LED evo to its lineup with an industry-first Sky Blue–Cyan fourth LED into the backlight, completing one of the most commonly missing portions of the natural light spectrum.

Powering this innovation is Hisense’s dual-chip architecture, combining the Hi-View AI Engine RGB Chip with a dedicated RGB Mini LED control chip. By splitting processing workloads, the system enables precise, synchronised control of colour and brightness through advanced AI optimisation, delivering up to a 100% improvement in scene adaptation, a 70% increase in scene perception, and a 40% boost in overall computing performance. This ensures consistently accurate, lifelike visuals across all viewing scenarios.

Powered by Hisense’s dual-chip architecture, the 116-inch UX TV will feature the brand’s new RGB Mini LED evo technology and the addition of a cyan LED, which Hisense claims delivers the richest and most precise colour reproduction on the market – apparently achieving 110% of BT.2020, and Pantone and Pantone SkinTone certifications.

Cyan sits in the part of the spectrum where human vision is most sensitive to subtle changes, and its addition allows the 116-inch UX to render gradients, tones, and transitions with a level of nuance that feels more natural and lifelike. Scenes gain depth without oversaturation, shadows reveal smoother detail, and bright content maintains clarity, creating a picture that feels richer and more dimensional in everyday viewing, not just in dramatic HDR moments.

HISENSE UPS ITS ANTI-GLARE GAME

Hisense has introduced new anti-glare matte technology that works in tandem with Anti-Reflection Pro to minimise reflections and visual distractions. This is badly needed. I found the larger TVs far too glossy last year and this is a good move by Hisense. Samsung’s anti-glare drive is a good thing for the industry, especially as screens get bigger and run the risk of being giant mirrors.

UR SERIES

Hisense also unveiled the all-new UR Series, including UR9 and UR8 models. This series  expands the availability of RGB Mini LED in sizes ranging from 100 inches down to 55 inches. This means more consumers will get a chance to join in the RGB Mini LED excitement in 2026.

The UR range leverages the same dual-chip RGB Mini LED architecture found in the UX lineup, and Hisense’s new anti-glare matte technology.

For gamers, the UR Series raises performance expectations with Game Mode Ultra, supporting refresh rates of up to 180Hz for ultra-smooth motion and fast responsiveness.

OTHER MODELS

Alongside RGB MiniLED, Hisense continues to enhance its ULED lineup, pairing its Mini LED technology with Devialet-tuned immersive audio for the first time.

The CanvasTV range has been tweaked in response to consumer demand. Featuring Hi-QLED technology, a Hi-Matte Display, and Gallery Mode, CanvasTV is designed to be a home for art inside the house.

USER INTERFACE

From this year, VIDAA will transition to V, with VIDAA OS becoming V homeOS. Additionally, Hisense has announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to integrate Copilot’s generative AI capabilities into V homeOS, advancing next-generation TV experiences for large-screen home environments. The collaboration also extends to Xbox cloud gaming, bringing Hisense inline with other TV makers.

AUDIO UPGRADE

To complement its visuals, Hisense continues its partnership with Devialet, integrating the immersive 6.2.2 CineStage X Surround sound system. Tuned by Devialet’s audio experts, the system delivers premium, room-filling sound for a truly cinematic experience.

Pricing and availability will be announced later in the year.
