D-Link has expanded its lineup with the launch of the DUF-E01, a high-end 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 docking station designed to turn a single laptop connection into a full desktop workstation. Announced for Australia and New Zealand, the new dock aims squarely at professionals, content creators and anyone juggling multiple screens, high-speed storage and reliable networking at their desk.
As laptops continue to get thinner — and increasingly short on ports — docking stations like the DUF-E01 are becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity. D-Link’s pitch is simple: connect a single Thunderbolt 4 cable and instantly unlock access to 14 ports, multiple displays, wired internet and laptop charging, all without the mess of adapters and hubs.
THE HARDWARE
At the core of the DUF-E01 is Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, delivering up to 40Gbps data transfer speeds. That kind of bandwidth is well suited to demanding workloads, including external NVMe storage, video editing setups and high-resolution media transfers, without the bottlenecks that can affect lower-spec USB hubs.

The dock also leans heavily into multi-display support, offering connections for up to three monitors simultaneously. Users can drive an 8K display via DisplayPort, a 4K screen over HDMI, and a third display through Thunderbolt — giving creatives, traders or multitaskers plenty of screen real estate to work with.
CONNECTIVITY AND POWER
Power delivery is handled through the same single cable, with up to 60W available to keep most ultrabooks and productivity-focused laptops charged throughout the day. It’s a practical inclusion for Australian users working across hybrid setups — whether that’s hot-desking in the office or quickly docking at home.
For connectivity, the inclusion of Gigabit Ethernet provides a stable alternative to Wi-Fi, something that will resonate with users dealing with large file transfers or frequent video calls. There are also SD and microSD card slots supporting high-capacity media up to 2TB, making the dock particularly appealing for photographers and videographers who want to skip external card readers.

D-Link has wrapped everything in an aluminium chassis designed to act as a passive heatsink, helping maintain performance under sustained workloads without adding fan noise. A detachable base also allows the dock to sit flat or upright, depending on your desk setup.
The DUF-E01 does come with a key requirement: you’ll need a laptop with Thunderbolt 4 to unlock its full capabilities. While many USB-C devices will physically connect, features like triple display output and full-speed data transfer rely on proper Thunderbolt support.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Available now through D-Link’s Australian website and authorised retailers, the DUF-E01 is priced at AU$599.95. It’s firmly positioned in the premium category, but for users looking to simplify their desk setup while maximising performance, it’s a compelling all-in-one solution.
