iClouds – A Time-Lapse Film Shot on iPhone 13 Pro Max

0

This is a personal film.

I love clouds and I love time-lapse on the iPhone.

I wanted to showcase the ability of the iPhone 13 Pro Max to produce smooth time-lapse recordings with its native app.

You really aren’t sure what the iPhone will give you until it’s done. But that’s part of the adventure.

This film is shot with no ground reference – from one position on a C-stand – in my backyard.

I did this because I wanted to avoid jerky ground influences like trees.

I also wanted it to be just about the clouds and their motion across the Sydney sky.

Out of the three lenses, the telephoto is my favourite. I could punch deeper into the clouds to feel closer to the movement.

It took about a two-weeks to find the variety in the sky for this video.

I wanted to make each shot different and it amazed me just how varied the clouds (through time-lapse) can be from one location in this form.

My next request is to get Apple to increase the recording resolution to 4K in the native time-lapse camera app.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

What do you think of Apple’s time-lapse execution on iPhone?
