0

In Sunday’s segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we looked in-depth at what Apple’s Self Service Repair store means for the tech industry.

It’s a huge win for Right-to-Repair champions, it will also help professional phone repairers when available early next year in the US before expanding to other countries in 2022.

NEW SMARTWATCH PHONES FOR KIDS

The big question for parents is: When do I get mobile for my kids? You want them to be safe.

Smartwatches – that are phones – is the answer.

There’s a new option this summer – Pixbee – the latest 4G kids’ smartwatch to feature a built-in two-megapixel camera that lets wearers make and receive video calls, receive texts, as well as capture and send photos.

Australian company Moochies has announced two new models.

Both models allow kids to make phone and video calls and send text messages, while also allowing parents to keep an eye on their children’s whereabouts through GPS tracking on the free Mooches App. Parents can also set a geofence, alerting them when their children leave a pre-set area.

DYSON VR SHOWROOM

The new Dyson Demo VR allows customers to trial, test and understand Dyson’s products in an immersive, virtual, online environment. The technology used draws on many of the same visualisation and simulation technologies that Dyson engineers use to prototype, test and develop new products and software in the lab.

QUALITY MAKES A DIFFERENCE

The quality of the experience is the big difference here.

You’ll not only be able to test and buy and interact with experts in the future.
