Image Matrix Tech on Sky News: LastPass hacked what should you do?

0

In Sunday’s segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we discussed what LastPass users should do in the wake of its recent security breach. LastPass – one of the world’s biggest password managers – has 25 million users worldwide, including many Australians. I am one of them. So what do we do? The company said there was no evidence that this incident involved any access to customer data or encrypted password vaults. While embarrassing – LastPass deserves credit for being upfront about the incident. The system is working normally.

IFA TECH HIGHLIGHTS

IFA Berlin is Europe’s version of CES in Las Vegas.

LG has dominated the show. From glowing LED fridge panels called MoodUp, to massive TVs. Aside from the world’s biggest 97-inch OLED and 88-inch 8K OLED there was an even bigger 136-inch, 4K Micro LED TV.

ASUS showed off its ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED. It’s a foldable PC that allows you to use it as either a 12.5-inch laptop or a massive 17-inch tablet. Very cool.

Lenovo Glasses T1 give you the ability to watch movies privately from your phone or laptop. They use micro-OLED screens with each eye displaying FHD resolution.

Jabra announced a new set of wireless earbuds at IFA. The Elite 5 are launching for just $199 AUD (discounted from $219 AUD) with a host of top-end features. Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC ) is a huge plus in this price range. Hybrid ANC uses mics on the outside and inside give better results.

HERTZ POLESTAR 2 EV RENTAL

A couple of weeks ago we spoke about EV rentals and how they will impact EV sales. This week I tested the Polestar 2 using the EV charging system in Tasmania. This was a great experience and for many of us, something only rentals provide. I cover some of the pros and cons in this segment and keep any eye out for my full report on Image Matrix Tech later in the week.

Big shoutout to the Hertz team in Hobart. They made the whole process of renting an EV a simple and hassle-free experience.
