OPPO’s flagship foldable phone is coming back to Australia next month, and it’s beating the competition where it counts.
The crease.
OPPO Find N6 is the best foldable phone I’ve used, and while the crease is almost invisible, it’s still there – just. OPPO is calling it the ‘world’s first zero-feel crease’, and while it goes close to that billing, you can still feel it – just. It’s definitely the best execution of a flagship foldable, and it leads to a much better experience.
One of the biggest gripes I have, aside from a visible crease, is the plastic look of the inside screen on foldables. I really hate it. But when you open the Find N6, you get a display that’s much closer to normal glass displays. I’m telling you this makes a big difference, especially when it comes to reflections and dark content.
THE HINGE
I’ll be going into more detail about the 2nd-Generation Titanium Flexion Hinge, using industry-first 3D Liquid Printing technology. OPPO uses precise laser scanning to detect microscopic surface irregularities. High-resolution 3D printing then applies custom photopolymer droplets to fill these regions, with each layer instantly solidified via UV light. After more than 20 cycles of printing and solidification, every microscopic gap is evened out. This reduces hinge height variance from the industry-standard 0.2mm to just 0.05mm.
Find N6 is certified to stay flat even after 600,000 folds, earning TÜV Rheinland Minimised Crease Certification. The device actually operated flawlessly through a massive one million fold cycles, making it one helluva foldable.
REVIEW IN PROGRESS
Just a handful of Australian journalists got their hands on the Find N6, including me, for pre-launch testing. We started evaluating the phone in Hong Kong and now in Australia. Check out my preview video below.
@imagematrixtech The OPPO Find N6 is surely the new king of foldable phones. But has it really eliminated the dreaded crease? Not entirely – but it’s petty damn close. More videos to come. #oppo #oppofindn6 #findn6 #findn6fold #foldable @OPPO Australia @OPPO ♬ Gemini – So Lis
The overall design of the inside display leads to a longer lifespan. That’s because a folding screen is made up of many layers bonded together. As time goes by, folding causes the adhesive to shift between layers, and that will make the crease more prominent. OPPO has addressed this by introducing Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass. It’s 50% thicker, offers a 100%
improvement in shape recovery, and a 338% increase in deformation resistance.
“Foldables have always promised a bigger, more immersive smartphone experience, but the crease has been one of the biggest barriers to that promise being fully realised,” said Michael Tran, Managing Director of OPPO Australia.
“With Find N6, OPPO has solved one of the category’s most talked-about challenges with the world’s first Zero-Feel Crease. We’re excited to bring the Find N Series back to Australia with our most advanced foldable yet.”
CAMERAS

I took some incredible shots during the day and night in Hong Kong thanks to the Find N6’s 200MP Hasselblad Ultra-Clear Main Camera. Combined with a 50MP ultra-wide camera that captures 50% more light than the previous generation, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with tele-macro capabilities, OPPO has not skimped on the parts when it comes to camera quality.
It includes a dedicated True Colour Camera, first introduced on the Find X9 Series. This sensor enables highly accurate white balance, ensuring every shot captures incredibly crisp details with natural colour rendition. Hasselblad Portrait Mode delivers excellent bokeh, and when in Master Mode, it offers full manual control with colour characteristics calibrated to match the Hasselblad X2D camera.

When it comes to video, Find N6 is a solid performer. Each of its three rear cameras is capable of 4K 60fps Dolby Vision capture, while the main 200MP sensor can record 4K 120fps Dolby Vision. There are pro features like Log video support for maximum post-production quality.
PROCESSING POWER
Find N6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with a huge 6,000mAh OPPO Silicon-Carbon Battery. Supported by 80W SUPERVOOC™ wired and 50W AIRVOOC™ wireless charging, this is one foldable that will get you through the day and then some.
DISPLAYS

When folded, you could easily mistake Find N6 for a standard phone. The 6.62-inch cover screen is framed by 1.4mm symmetrical bezels, while the device unfolds to reveal an 8.12-inch inner display. Both screens are excellent with 1,800 nits peak outdoor brightness for daytime use. For nighttime viewing, both displays support a 1-nit minimum brightness and up to 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, for eye protection.
Keeping the displays safe, Find N6 features IP56, IP58, and IP59 dust and water resistance certifications.
POWER OF THE PEN AND AI

OPPO AI Pen, a powerful, AI-empowered stylus designed to boost productivity. OPPO AI Pen supports Quick Note, Global Annotation, and even doubles as a Laser Pointer. It also introduces Circle to Capture, AI Chart, and AI Image. These AI-powered tools capture on-screen content, convert rough drafts into professional tables, and transform handwritten sketches into high-quality artwork.
OPPO’s Free-Flow Window makes using the inside display a dream. It allows users to simultaneously operate up to four apps, with the flexibility to freely adjust window sizes and aspect ratios to suit any specific workflow.
Powering Find N6 is ColorOS 16, optimised for the foldables. Features like AI Mind Space, alongside newly updated highlights such as AI Recording and AI Motion Photo Popout, make excellent use of the larger display.
