Photo Exhibition Shows the Power of the Print

0

Billions of photos will never be printed. Most don’t deserve it. Others demand it. The images I saw last night were definitely meant to be printed.

SUNSTUDIOS, backed by Canon Australia, is currently hosting its annual This Time It’s Personal exhibition in Sydney. It showcases ‘personal’ images from some of the best photographers in Australia. It gives photography lovers a chance to see what industry professionals are passionate about away from their commercial work.

All photographs donated by the artists are available for purchase as a print at a discounted rate, and are brought to life by SUNSTUDIOS’ print specialist, Selena Simpson, who uses state-of-the-art Canon print facilities.

Selena have me a personal tour of the exhibition and printing setup. Each print is handled separately with care and the results are beautiful. They are formatted with a white border, ready for framing.

“This Time It’s Personal brings the imaging industry together for an important cause,” said Luke Harrison, Head of SUNSTUDIOS.

“The exhibition provides an incredible opportunity to enjoy and purchase, at an affordable price, exclusive artwork by the industry’s highly respected photographers.”

There are 76 unique photographs and 100% of the print sale proceeds will be donated to the GO Foundation.

“Thanks to supporters like SUNSTUDIOS, Canon Australia and all of the artists who kindly donated their work, This Time It’s Personal raised $20,000 last year helping us to continue delivering on our mission to empower through education. We’re thrilled that SUNSTUDIOS is supporting GO once again with this year’s exhibition.”
