PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter Now Available in Australia

0

The PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter is now available in Australia for A$94.95.

To get started, connect the PC adapter to your PlayStation VR2 and a Windows PC, download the SteamVR App and the free PlayStation VR2 App from Steam. You’ll have access to a large library of VR games you can purchase via Stream.

Users also need a cable compatible with DisplayPort 1.4, as well as a Steam account and a PC that meets PlayStation’s minimum requirements.

It should be noted that using the VR2 on a PC is not the best way to use the headset. It was designed to be used with the PS5 first, so you’ll be missing features, like HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback (other than rumble).

That’s a lot.

But you’ll still get 4K visuals (2000 x 2040 per eye), 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, and see-through view, as well as foveated rendering (without eye tracking) and 3D Audio in supported games.

By unshackling the VR2 from its PS5 base, Sony is hoping to improve the flexibility of its Virtual Reality hardware.

You can learn how to setup the adapter here.
