Sonos has announced a new premium soundbar and subwoofer for the home cinema market plus updates to the Sonos App.
Sonos Arc Ultra uses the company’s new transducer technology called Sound Motion that drastically reduces the size of the transducer while supercharging the bass. Arc Ultra delivers up to double the bass of the previous model, with 9.1.4 spatial audio experience. The means clearer dialogue, deeper bass, and more detailed sound packaged into slick soundbar.
Sonos says Sound Motion is one of the most significant breakthroughs in audio engineering in nearly 100 years.
The company is also unveiling Sonos Sub 4.
Price and AvailabilityÂ
Sonos Arc Ultra ($1,799 AUD) and Sub 4 ($1,299 AUD) will be available in Black and White beginning October 29, 2024.
Sonos App
Sonos continues to rollout improvements to its much criticised app. The latest update will reintroduce 90 per cent of the new app’s missing features.
Updated Features Now Rolling Out:
- Improved queue management including ability to delete and reorder on Android
- Music library indexing and reliability improvements
- Improved TalkBack functionality in Settings on Android
- The ability to schedule System Updates on Android
