Free Scam Advice Just Got Better: Bitdefender Updates Scamio AI Chatbot

0

Bitdefender’s free AI chatbot – Scamio – has been updated to give more conversational scam advice. It will also provide ‘red flags’ to give users a more detailed report into the issue at hand. It also appears to be a lot firmer on what it thinks is a scam.

By far the best way to use Scamio is to just copy and paste a screen shot of a QR Code or text message and Scamio will do the rest. Image Matrix Tech was given an exclusive preview of the update at Bitdefender’s home base in Bucharest.

Djuro Sen explains the Scamio update on Sky News Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert

“Scamio wants to be a private adviser for people who don’t necessarily know how to tell scams from legitimate communications,” Bogdan Botezatu, Director, Threat Research & Reporting, told Image Matrix Tech.

“We envision Scamio as a personal assistant that people can use to double check whether they’re about to fall victim to a scam or whether they have received normal communication from a company they’re doing business with or from a friend.

“Scamio wants to be easy to use.”
