On my weekly Sky News tech chat on Weekend Edition I predicted that robots will be ‘huge’ this year and Roborock is already proving me right. The Saros Z70 robot vacuum features a robotic arm to help pick up socks and other small items during its cleaning duties around the home.
ROBOROCK SAROS Z70
It’s the world’s first mass-produced foldable robotic arm with five-axis on a robo vac. It’s designed to deploy when cleaning previously obstructed areas. It can handle sandals under 300g, elevating the category to a whole new level of home cleaning robotics.
As you can see from the demo video above, the AI powered Saros Z70 is the real deal. It’s expected to be available during the first half of 2025 .
Roborock also announced the Saros 10 featuring Roborock’s first RetractSens Navigation System. The module to retracts inwards to pass under low-clearance areas while maintaining a 100-degree wide field of view.
It gives the Saros 10 an ultra-slim 7.98 cm profile. Saros 10 integrates the latest VibraRise 4.0 mopping module and Roborock’s most advanced cleaning technologies.
The Roborock Saros 10R model has next-generation StarSightAutonomous System 2.0. on board. Instead of relying on a traditional Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) tower module for navigation, this system incorporates dual-light 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology and an RGB camera powered by AI.
The result is excellent 3D mapping of the environment and obstacle detection. All this while achieving an ultra-slim 7.98 cm profile.
ROBOROCK F25 SERIES
Roborock also launched a F25 Series of handheld wet-dry vacuum cleaners. You get full 180° FlatReach Deep Cleaning, which allows for cleaning under low furniture. There’s also a tangle-free and streak-free roller, equipped with dual scrapers to untangle hair and minimise streaks.
WASHER-DRYER
Roborock is also expanding its the washer-dryer category with three new, all-in-one, intelligent units.
- Roborock Zeo One
- Zeo Lite
- Zeo Mini.
These models are powered by Zeo-Cycle drying technology, which makes use of zeolite’s water vapour absorption capability to protect delicate fabrics without using extreme heat.
Operating at a moderate temperature of approximately 50°C, this system efficiently captures moisture to keep fabrics in good condition.
Image Matrix Tech will be reviewing Roborock’s latest products as they become available.
