You know a product is good when nerds and normies are both using it. Meta’s AI glasses are bringing everyone together and that’s a good thing.

Meta continues to expand its smart eyewear collection with more colours, lenses, and software updates. Probably the most important is an optical-forward pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses that support nearly all prescriptions. These are designed to better support daily, all-day wear, even if you don’t need a prescription. Ergonomic features like overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips ensure a tailored fit for individual face shapes.

Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles are available in two frame designs: a rectangular “Blayzer Optics” in Standard and Large sizes and a more rounded “Scriber Optics” frame.  Both frames feature a lightweight slim design.  Available colours include Matte Black, Transparent Black and Transparent Dark Olive, plus seasonal options like Transparent Matte Ice Grey and Transparent Stone Beige.  A new Dark Brown charging carrying case accompanies the new line.

They’ll be available from selected optical retailers starting 15th April, with prices beginning at A$709.

Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta now offer more lenses and colours

  • Vanguard Black with Prizm™ Black Lenses (arriving 15th April)
  • Vanguard White with Prizm™ Rose Gold Lenses (arriving 15th April)
  • Vanguard Black with Prizm™ Transitions® Ember Lenses (arriving  19th May)
  • Vanguard Prizm™ Transitions® Cobalt Lenses (arriving 19th May)
  • HSTN Black with Prizm™ Dark Golf Lenses (arriving 15th April)
  • HSTN Light Curry with Clear to Brown Transitions® Lenses (arriving 15th April)

There are also three new limited-time-only seasonal colours for Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2). For the Skyler style, there’s Shiny Transparent Peach with Transitions® Brown Lenses; for Headliner, there’s Matte Transparent Peach with Transitions® Grey Lenses; and for Wayfarer, there’s Shiny Transparent Grey with Transitions® Sapphire Lenses. These will be available from Meta.comRayban.comOakley.com and selected retailers from April.

Market Availability & Live Translation Languages

Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses will be expanding to new international markets in the coming months, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.

Meta is also expanding live translation features, which translates speech in real time – across 20 languages, including Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Tamil, Marathi, and Arabic.

Meta has a Hit on its Hands

Meta’s approach to smart glasses is proving to be a success. They do enough without being too hard to grasp for the general population. They also look good. Ray-Ban has sold millions of units across its full collection in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, with sales tripling year-on-year.
