Apple has confirmed its annual September launch event will take place at 10 am local time on the 9th next month (3 am Sept 10th in Sydney). Our invite to watch the livestream arrived early this morning with the headline “Surprise and shine” with a glow effect.
We are certain to see the iPhone 18 lineup and likely to get our first look at Apple’s long-awaited foldable phone. Its official launch name is still up for debate. The leading options appear to be iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra.
Given the success of Samsung’s Fold 8 ‘passport-sized’ foldable, Apple should expect huge demand for its version. Apple could also announce its foldable in September but release it later in the year.
This year’s iPhone keynote will also be significant as it will be the first under new CEO John Ternus.
