Blackmagic Design’s brilliant, free smartphone camera app has received another update.
Blackmagic Camera for iOS 2.1.1 adds support for improved colourspace tagging when recording with LUTs. This is a welcome addition to the growing list of features in the app. Recordings will now be correctly tagged, simplifying accurate colour reproduction when grading.
Lock functionality has been improved when using white balance and shutter angle settings. When locked they will remain fixed to the setting you choose and can’t be accidentally changed. This has happened to me and I absolutely appreciate the update.
The shutter slider, focus peaking and zebra overlay values are now presented in a more consistent way. When adjusting the shutter, the display will correctly show either the speed or angle slider value based on your selected measurement type.
