Hybrid sales continue to surge in and Australia’s fastest growing car brand, Chery, has added more choice to the mix by launching its new excellent value Super Hybrid range. The line-up includes the TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 8 Super Hybrids (PHEV) both capable of delivering over 1,000km of combined petrol-electric range. The TIGGO 4 Hybrid is Chery’s compact hybrid option.

The new Super Hybrids can last more than 90km in pure electric mode or switch seamlessly to hybrid mode for longer drives, reaching over 1,000km on one tank and one charge. Direct current (DC) fast charging enables drivers to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes.

“Australian drivers cover long distances, whether it’s the weekday commute, a weekend away or the school run, and they need vehicles that can keep up,” said Lucas Harris, Chief Operating Officer, Chery Australia. “Our Super Hybrid range is built for that reality. It offers flexibility, efficiency and comfort with fewer stops, smart technology, and pricing that makes sense.”

The TIGGO 7 Super Hybrid is priced from A$39,990 driveaway, while the larger seven-seat TIGGO 8 Super Hybrid starts from A$45,990 driveaway.

In the cockpit you’ll get twin digital screens with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Chery’s “Hello Chery” voice control system is there for those who don’t like buttons and for comfort, you get features like a sunroof plus heated and ventilated seats in the Ultimate grades.

The TIGGO 4 Hybrid brings hybrid efficiency to Chery’s compact SUV. It now offers combined fuel consumption from just 5.4L/100km. Featuring a self-charging hybrid system with no need to plug in, this car is the perfect run-around-town small vehicle.

“The TIGGO 4 Hybrid delivers the efficiency and features Australians expect, at a price that makes sense. It is a practical choice for drivers who want to reduce running costs without giving up comfort, safety or technology,” said Harris.

Onboard tech includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a reverse camera. You also get “Hello Chery” voice control, The Ultimate variant adds a powered sunroof with sunshade and colour-selectable ambient lighting.

The TIGGO 4 Hybrid is priced from $29,990 driveaway.

Safety Features

Safety features include; multiple airbags, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane keeping assistance (LKA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), and driver monitoring systems, along with Chery’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

All Chery vehicles have a 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 7 years of capped price servicing, and up to 7 years of roadside assistance.
