UK based tech brand Nothing has launched new CMF products globally, including Australia. The CMF Phone 2 Pro and a bunch of wireless earbuds will be available May 6th.

If you’re looking for a budget phone around the five hundred dollar mark and a matching audio solution, then this could be worth a look. The CMF Phone 2 Pro has three rear cameras, including two 50MP sensors for the Main and Telephoto lenses.

It is the thinnest Nothing phone at 7.8 mm, making it 5% thinner than CMF Phone 1. It weights just 185g despite an aluminium camera surround and stainless steel screws. It’s also a little more durable than CMF Phone 1 with IP54, up from IP52.

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes in four colours: White, Black, Orange and Light Green. Black and Light Green.

CMF Phone 2 Pro captures 64% more light than CMF Phone 1 with its main camera while the telephoto lens uses 6 stacked lenses to digitally zoom into your subject 20x. This is unique in this market but the quality needs testing. An 8MP ultra-wide camera offers a much wider aspect and the front-facing camera has a 16MP sensor for selfies.

At the heart of the phone’s performance is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor which has an 8-core CPU that clocks in speeds of up to 2.5 GHz. It’s 10% faster at processing while you’ll also see a 5% improvement in graphics when compared to CMF Phone 1.

There’s a longer lasting 5000 mAh battery that helps power a bight 6.77″ FHD+ flexible AMOLED display. You’ll get a billion colours and a peak brightness of 3000 nits – 50% higher than CMF Phone 1. There’s a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate – a 316% improvement compared with CMF Phone 1 – and a 120 Hz Adaptive refresh rate. Pretty cool.

CMF Phone 2 Pro retains modularity with three new accessories including Universal Cover, Interchangeable Lenses (Fisheye and Marco), and Wallet/Stand. A key upgrade from CMF Phone 1, is that the second-generation smartphone supports contactless payments with NFC.
