Sony a7S III: Making Steel 4K Slow Mo

0

If you love slow motion and the glow of making steel – this clip is for you. Sound up! To see the sparks fly head to 5:00.

At Sydney Steel Mill they recycle scrap metal into new steel products.

This video was shot with the Sony a7s III and Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS full-frame power zoom lens – autofocus was used.

The camera was briefly supplied by Sony Australia for review.

The aim was to record 4K 100p with audio to capture the atmosphere of the ‘melt shop’ in all its glory.

It was edited in Premiere Pro and slowed to 25%. There was no grading.

Audio was recorded with Sony shotgun mic supplied with XLRK3M hot shoe adapter.

I’ve been using Picture Profile 1 with some minor adjustments. I generally shoot ‘as is’ for fast turnaround. It also give some flexibility when saving blown highlights.

When used with the FE PZ 28-135mm power zoom lens – this is a beast. I’ll be buying one for sure.

More videos soon.
