When Image Matrix Tech was invited to inspect Australia’s latest e-bike brand – Flight Risk – we had one big question. How safe is your battery technology?
The answer included an insane crash test that has to bee seen to be believed. In the video above you’ll see the unbelievable behind-the-scenes testing by founder Abraham Mikhail. Lithium Ion battery fires are on the rise so this was a chance to see a start up doing something about it.
“What we have done is spent months with our engineers designing a charger that not only charges, but safely charges,” said Flight Risk Founder, Abraham Mikhail.
“And the technology that we’ve put inside these chargers is not only just to charge the bike safely, but to recognise if your battery has an issue, if it’s overcharging or that it’s overheating.”
Mikhail told Image Matrix Tech that Flight Risk sourced the highest quality chargers and batteries he could find and although it adds to the cost, it’s worth it.
“Our chargers .. they’re not cooled by fans where a lot of other chargers have fans inside to cool them down. This one solid hard unit does absolutely everything.”\
