The OPPO Find X9 Series is the last major smartphone release of 2025 and it’s going to make a serious late bid for phone of the year. Launched in China last week, Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will make their global debut on October 28, 2025 at a launch event in Barcelona.
“Together with Hasselblad, we are taking a monumental leap forward in imaging quality with Find X9 Series. Combined with a refined design, extraordinary battery life, and the fast and smooth ColorOS 16, Find X9 Series is set to redefine the flagship experience and inspire a new era of creativity with mobile devices.” said Pete Lau, SVP and Chief Product Officer at OPPO.
OPPO BATTERY

Normally, this site would be raving about the camera specs first but on this occasion, it’s the massive 7500mAh battery in the Find X9 Pro that has us most excited. The Find X9 is also impressive with a 7025mAh battery. The Find X9 battery is just like last year’s OPPO flagship, but it uses third-generation silicon-carbon battery technology. Si-C batteries batteries combine silicon with carbon in the anode instead of relying solely on traditional graphite. This increases the energy capacity without increasing the physical size of the battery.

As I said in the Sky News segment above, I would love to see Apple and Samsung make use of this technology in their phones. They already have excellent power management software, so imagine how much better their battery life would be if they adopted silicon-carbon technology.
When it comes to camera tech, the Find X9 Pro is outrageously equipped. The Hasselblad Master Camera System powered by OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine and features a 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto lens. This was co-developed with Hasselblad in both sensor calibration and optical design. There’s also a telephoto lens attachment that extends your optical reach to 230mm.
Aside from photography, both devices support 4K 120fps Dolby Vision, plus LOG recording with ACES support for pro-grade editing. Paired with Stage Mode and AI Sound Focus the Find X9 Pro is excellent for concerts, no matter where your seats are in the arena.
Powering the series is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, making Find X9 Series among the first equipped with this advanced 3nm platform.
The Find X9 Series features a sleek matte glass finish, ergonomic aluminium frame and ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels framing two flat displays, 6.59 inches on Find X9 and 6.78 inches on Find X9 Pro.
ColorOS 16

The Find X9 Series will be the first to feature the all-new ColorOS 16. If you’re an iPhone user considering a switch to Android, you’ll find this operating system very familiar in look and feel.
Inspired by natural light and shadow, ColorOS 16 introduces a refreshed visual design and deeper personalisation. Users can now set motion photos or videos as wallpapers, enjoy a new full-screen Always-On Display, and resize apps and folders with the dynamic Flux Home Screen.
Powered by the new Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine, ColorOS 16 introduces Seamless Animation for faster, more fluid interactions across every app and gesture. Performance has also been optimised for entry-level devices through Project Breeze, ensuring long-term speed and responsiveness across the OPPO ecosystem.
ColorOS 16 expands OPPO’s AI tools with AI Portrait Glow for low-light portraits, joining AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover. Video editing also gets a boost with the new Master Cut for fast, professional edits.
Connectivity gets a major upgrade with O+ Connect now supporting both Windows and Mac, enabling seamless file sharing and remote device control. Screen Mirroring allows users to cast and control up to five apps from their phone on a PC using a mouse and keyboard.
