Nespresso has unveiled the Vertuo Up, a high-tech machine designed to bring the café experience to the kitchen bench without the premium price tag. Launching on 20 April 2026, the Vertuo Up is spearheaded by a bold new global campaign featuring musical artist Dua Lipa.

THE TECHNOLOGY

The Vertuo Up is engineered specifically for those who need their caffeine fix fast, boasting a quick 3-second heat-up time, making it one of the most efficient machines in the Vertuo lineup. At its core is the advanced Centrifusion Technology, an intelligent extraction system that reads the unique barcode on each capsule to automatically adjust parameters like water temperature, flow rate, and infusion time. This proprietary system spins the capsule at up to 7,000 revolutions per minute, blending centrifugal force with infusion to extract a rich, full-bodied flavour topped with a signature velvety coffee crema.

For the tech-savvy brewer, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allow the machine to pair with the Nespresso Smart App. This digital integration goes beyond simple remote brewing; it allows users to precisely tailor their coffee experience by adjusting cup length and temperature settings from their smartphone. The app also simplifies machine maintenance by providing real-time alerts for descaling or errors. It ensures the machine remains in peak condition with automatic firmware updates to accommodate newly released capsule blends.

THE USER EXPERIENCE

Perhaps the most exciting addition for latte and iced-coffee enthusiasts is the dedicated Coffee Creations button. This intuitive function activates a specialised “Coffee Creations mode,” which delivers a more concentrated extraction by reducing the water volume while maintaining the coffee’s intensity. This ensures that the brew remains bold and has “less dilution” when paired with milk, plant-based alternatives, or ice. This spirit of experimentation is a central theme of the campaign, which sees Dua Lipa diving into a world of new sensations, from a morning mug to iced lattes by the pool.

Design and functionality go hand in hand in this new release, it features a rotating 1.4-litre water tank that can be positioned on the side or back to fit any kitchen layout. The machine also introduces a newly engineered, effortless lever and a large capsule basket that can store up to 18 used pods.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Positioned as an affordable luxury for 2026, the Vertuo Up is available in four colours, including Ink Black, Ocean Blue, Pearl White, and Graphite. Starting 20 April, consumers can purchase the machine for AU$349.00 solo or as a bundle with the Aeroccino3 milk frother for AU$439.00 at Nespresso boutiques and online.
