Belkin has unveiled its next-generation portable chargers at IFA 2026, with the new UltraCharge Pro range introducing semi-solid-state battery technology designed to deliver thinner, safer, and longer-lasting power banks.

Belkin’s new BoostSolid Cell technology combines a gel-like layer with a liquid electrolyte, allowing the battery cells to be more compact while maintaining charging performance. Belkin claims the resulting power banks are engineered to last up to three times longer than conventional alternatives.
Safety is also a major focus. Dual analogue and digital temperature sensors monitor the battery every 250 milliseconds and can interrupt power if operating limits are exceeded. The batteries are designed to reduce the risk of thermal runaway, swelling and fire, while operating between 0°C and 40°C.
Belkin says the range has undergone puncture, temperature, drop, impact and vibration testing and is designed to meet UL2056-2015 safety requirements and TSA standards.
UltraCharge Pro Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5K
The smaller UltraCharge Pro 5K packs 5,000mAh into an impressively thin 8.8mm design, roughly the footprint of a standard credit card. It supports Qi2-certified magnetic wireless charging at up to 15W, alongside USB-C wired charging at up to 22.5W. Pass-through charging is also supported at up to 7.5W wirelessly.
Belkin says the new model is around 40% slimmer than comparable 5K power banks, with a metal body, soft-touch finish, LED battery indicator and braided USB-C cable included.
UltraCharge Pro 10K 60W
The larger UltraCharge Pro 10K increases capacity to 10,000mAh and USB-C Power Delivery to 60W, making it suitable for phones, tablets and compatible laptops. It includes dual USB-C ports with up to 60W single-port output, USB-A at up to 22.5W and 40W USB-C input. PD, PPS, AVS and UFCS charging protocols are supported, while a built-in display shows battery level, charging output and thermal information.
Belkin claims it can charge an iPhone 17 Pro to 50% in around 24 minutes, while the power bank itself can be recharged in approximately two hours.
Pricing and Availability
Both models will launch in Australia in black and sand colours with the UltraCharge Pro Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5K will cost A$119.95, while the UltraCharge Pro 10K 60W will retail for A$149.95.
They’ll be available through Belkin Australia and selected retailers.
Conclusion
The real story here isn’t faster charging, but what’s inside. If BoostSolid Cell delivers on Belkin’s longevity and safety claims, semi-solid-state batteries could be a meaningful upgrade for something many of us carry every day.
With an ultra-thin 5K option and a more capable 60W 10K model, Belkin is giving the technology a pretty practical debut.
