Ecovacs has expanded its Australian lineup with the launch of the DEEBOT X8 MAX PRO OMNI and the DEEBOT T80 OMNI, introducing a specialised pressurised roller mop system to the market. While these models carry high retail prices, a strategic launch through Amazon and direct-to-consumer channels sees them entering the market at a discounted price. This release moves flagship-level suction and automated maintenance into a more competitive price bracket for Australian consumers.
THE TECHNOLOGY
The mechanical centrepiece of both units is the OZMO ROLLER, a departure from the dual-spinning disks common in the industry. This system uses a cylindrical roller that spins at 200–220 RPM while applying consistent downward pressure to scrub hard surfaces.

To prevent the robot from spreading dirt, the system continuously flushes the roller with fresh water and extracts wastewater into a separate tank while in motion. This is paired with ZeroTangle 3.0 technology, which utilises a specific brush structure to minimise hair wrap, and AIVI 3D 3.0, a navigation suite that uses structured light and AI imaging to identify and bypass domestic obstacles like shoes or pets in real-time.
DEEBOT X8 MAX PRO OMNI
The X8 MAX PRO OMNI is engineered for complex environments where heavy carpet and hard floors coexist. It features Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology (BLAST), providing 16,600Pa suction and a 16.3 L/s airflow rate to pull debris from deep carpet fibres.

For edge cleaning, it utilises TruEdge 2.0 and a 3D Edge Sensor to extend the cleaning mechanism flush against skirting boards. This model is also equipped with a Triple Lift System that retracts the mopping hardware when it detects carpets and AI Stain Detection 2.0, which allows the robot to recognise a spill and autonomously decide to perform a deep-clean pass.
DEEBOT T80 OMNI
The T80 OMNI serves as a high-performance alternative that prioritises raw suction and a smaller physical footprint. It delivers a peak suction power of 18,000Pa, currently the highest in the Ecovacs lineup, making it particularly effective for homes with high volumes of pet hair or fine dust. While it lacks some of the X8’s specialised carpet sensors, it retains the TruEdge 2.0 system for corner coverage. The accompanying OMNI station is designed for compact spaces and automates the maintenance process by washing the roller in temperature-controlled hot water and drying it with 45°C hot air to ensure hygiene between uses.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Both models are available in Australia starting April 20, 2026. The DEEBOT X8 MAX PRO OMNI is priced at AU$1,599, down from its RRP of AU$2,599, while the DEEBOT T80 OMNI is available for AU$1,199 against an RRP of AU$2,299. These exclusive prices are available through Amazon Australia and the official Ecovacs online store, delivering a significant reduction of up to $1,100 for the launch period.
