In Sunday’s segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we took a first look at the Motorola Razr 2022 which is now on sale. This is much better than I expected and it is a serious competitor for Samsung’s Galaxy Z-Flip 4. Side by side there are some clear and important differences. This is what you’ll pay.
It’s ideal for people who want small phones – almost everyone is making bigger phones so the Razr and Flip give you the best of both worlds. Expect this to be an interesting battle-ground moving forward.
SUPERCHARGE YOUR MAC PRODUCTIVITY
The latest version of MacOS VENTURA can do some amazing things like Continuity Camera. You can use your iPhone as your webcam as long as you have the right mount. (Of course you could just hold it) We tested Belkin’s mount that uses MagSafe which attaches magnetically to your iPhone so it can sit on your Mac. The iPhone mount allows you to use the iPhone rear cameras – which are infinitely better better than normal laptop webcams. It also enables Desk View – which gives you a top-down look for demos.
The other accessory I recommend is the Australian designed Espresso Display. It’s the word’s thinnest portable external display and it’s also a touch screen for Mac. The latest update means better drawing accuracy with the pen.
The screen is powered by a USB-C cable connected to your Mac so you can easily go on the road and have two monitors. They look fantastic too. EspressoFlow software also controls the screen arrangement. This means you can not only arrange the screens they way you want but also the programs running in each ‘window’.
GOPRO HERO 11 BLACK MINI IS HERE
The GoPro Hero 11 Black MINI is now on sale in Australia. It follows the launch of its big brother in September. Side-by-side its much smaller – has no view screen – just a small status display on top. It has dual mounting fingers so it’s great for mounting on helmets, bikes, even pets. It does everything the larger camera does – just in a smaller body.
Available now for $499.95 for GoPro Subscribers $649.95 for everyone else.
