Watching your favourite free-to-air shows is about to get a whole lot easier, thanks to a new partnership between Paramount Australia (the team behind Network 10 and Paramount+) and LG Electronics. For the first time in Australia, owners of LG Smart TVs will soon be able to tune into popular live TV channels—including 10, 10 Drama, 10 Comedy, and Nickelodeon—directly over the internet, with no need to fiddle with a terrestrial aerial.

LIVE TV: NO ANTENNA

Starting later this month, this integration will launch within LG Channels, the company’s free streaming TV offering. It means LG Smart TV users will get 24/7 non-aerial access to live content from Network 10’s channels, streamlining the viewing experience and making it simpler than ever to catch programs like MasterChef AustraliaAustralian Survivor, and Have You Been Paying Attention?

“With the 10 IP linear feed seamlessly integrated into LG Channels, audiences are provided with immediate access to live and scheduled broadcast content, directly from their LG webOS devices,” said Lachlan Roach, VP, Partner Management and Business Development – Streaming for Paramount Australia. He highlighted that this development “sets a new global standard for IP content delivery” and is a key part of Paramount’s strategy to “meet audiences where they want to watch our content.”

A NEW ERA FOR CONNECTED ENTERTAINMENT

This strategic collaboration harnesses the power of Paramount Australia’s vast content library and LG’s strong position in the Australian smart TV market. It’s a proactive move that reflects the massive shift in how Australians watch content, as more viewers move toward Connected TV (CTV) and streaming platforms.

Tony Brown, GM, Home Entertainment Marketing and Content Business at LG Electronics ANZ, described the partnership as a “significant milestone” in the evolution of content viewing globally. “As a major TV manufacturer, LG is proud to be at the forefront of integrating traditional broadcasting with the modern streaming era,” he said. The goal is to provide Australians with seamless access to the content they love, reinforcing LG’s commitment to innovation and its “Life’s Good” brand promise.

EFFORTLESS CONTENT DISCOVERY

The benefits for consumers go beyond just the live channels. The partnership will also boost the visibility and accessibility of Paramount’s other streaming services on the LG platform, including:

  • Featured Placement: Prominent tile placements for the 10 streaming app and Paramount+ on the LG Home page launcher bar.
  • Easier Searching: Integrating the 10 streaming metadata feeds into LG’s webOS to make shows easier to discover.
  • On-Demand Access: The flagship 10 App and Paramount+ App will remain key fixtures, providing on-demand access to a massive library of local and global entertainment.

By blending live, linear feeds with on-demand libraries, Paramount and LG are focusing on a more intuitive user interface, ensuring audiences can easily find and enjoy content across multiple platforms. This deep strategic alignment is positioning both companies to lead the way in shaping the future of digital content distribution and in-home entertainment.
