The Pixel 9a is coming to Australia on April 16th according to an update from Google support. The US, Canada and the UK will get the new device first on April 10th. Although pre-orders aren’t available today, the post said the Pixel 9a will be available “on-shelf” on the dates listed.
The rollout was delayed after “component quality issue” affected a small number of devices. Google made the wise move to hold off for a couple of weeks.

The Pixel 9a is the ‘budget’ version of the current Google flagship phone. It retains a lot of the key features from the premium device and it’s often seen as the best bang for buck phone in the lineup.
It will start at A$849, which is A$500 cheaper than the Pixel 9 and A$850 below the price of the excellent Pixel 9 Pro.
