Apple’s Chatswood Chase store reopens tomorrow (Thursday 30 October 2025) after being closed for renovations since July last year. It was the second Apple Store to open in Australia in August 2008, soon after the release of Australia’s first iPhone (iPhone 3G).

As you can see in the video above, Image Matrix Tech was offered a sneak peek ahead of the official opening. It’s undergone a complete redesign since July 2024 and will no doubt be a leading attraction at the redeveloped shopping centre. There was certainly plenty of interest in the cafe downstairs when I ordered a coffee. The staff noticed my iPhone 17 Pro Max film rig and from there I had to explain the whole story.

When it opens tomorrow, the public will notice a big change. There’s timber everywhere and the ceiling is designed with baffles sustainably made from sugar cane to improve acoustic performance. The Genius Bar offers a dedicated alcove with various table and seating heights, easy access routes for wheelchairs.

All of the product sections are nicely positioned and easy to find, especially the Apple Watch. In a first for NSW, Apple Chatswood Chase features a new space where customers can interact with and learn more about Apple Watch in a one-to-one setting with an Apple Specialist.  Apple Pickup at a dedicated counter is another first for the state.

All up there are 130 team members that will look after customers and the store runs on 100 per cent renewable energy… just like all the others.

And at the Today at Apple table, an assistive listening loop gives them the chance to tune in to the educational sessions, offering a more accessible customer experience.
